GIPS Choir and Recorders Public Performance for Macmillan Cancer Support

recorders

Boys and Girls from Glengormley P5-7 sang and played recorders at Tesco Newtownabbey & The Abbeycentre on Wed 8th Dec 10 to both entertain Christmas shoppers and to help raise money and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support.  They helped raise quite a lot of money in the short time they were there.  Thanks go also to the manager of Tesco, who generously donated well-deserved refreshments for all the children after they had finished.

School Choir and Recorder Group perform at Newtownabbey Community Carol Service

Children from Key Stage 2 classes performed on 1st December 2010 in Glengormley Presbyterian Church 5 peices they had prepared for the Local Community Annual Carol Service.  The children sang and played to a very high standard entertaining everyone from the local clergy to the local PSNI Inspector and the Deputy Mayor of Newtownabbey.  Then they got some juice, biscuits and goodies in the church hall afterwards with their parents tucking into coffee, tea and mince pies.  Well done to all involved.  Here are a few clips of the children performing.
