Dear Parents/Guardians

The Glengormley Integrated PS PTA Committee extends a warm welcome to new and returning pupils for this academic year 2023/24.

We would like to thank those who are stepping down from their roles for their commitment over recent years. We look forward to their continued support with our activities and events in 23/24. We also welcome new families to the school community and we look forward to seeing some new faces at events throughout the coming year.

The PTA committee consists of parents of children from a range of year groups and a teacher representative. We are supported at key events throughout the year by a group of dedicated PTA volunteers. Our aim is to assist in whatever way we can to help our children to learn, succeed and enjoy their school experience.

Our fundraising activities run throughout the year and your support is as important as ever, given the current pressures on school budgets. If you have any ideas for fundraising activities, please contact us at

We are always keen to hear from new parents who would like to volunteer their time to assist us with our efforts – be it planning for and helping at the bigger events like Sports Day or just offering and hour or two of your time to assist at smaller events. We especially welcome new volunteers from our P1 parents and any new families. PTA involvement is a great way to meet other parents and get involved in the school community.

attend our monthly committee meetings;
share your ideas;
express your interest to volunteer now via email to our new email address; or
search for the Facebook group titled Glengormley Integrated PS PTA and ask to join. We’ll put regular calls out for helping hands!
We look forward to another fantastic year at GIPS. We are excited to have our families join together to build a friendly, caring and spirited school community where our children thrive. If we can assist you in any way please email with your questions, concerns or ideas. On behalf of the entire PTA

Thank You
Carmen Doran
