Mrs McCann and her P6 class were announced on Friday 18th feb 2011 as U105’s Class of the Week! Today a DJ and colleague from U105 arrived in school to give the class all goodie bags and take some publicity photos. These should also be available to view in due course on the U105 website. Well done Mrs McCann and all her wonderful P6 pupils!
Children from P5-7 participated in the wonderful Peace Proms yesterday (Sunday 6th Feb 2011) at the Waterfront Hall in support of the Cross Border Orchestra. Mrs Lyness was presented this beautiful certificate with the rest of teachers present at the end of the concert. Lots of parents came along and really enjoyed seeing their children perform in such a wonderful spectacle. Well done to all those involved!
Today the P6 children got to play some indoor hockey with the Captain of the Belfast Giants. This was to promote health and fitness in schools, a scheme run by the Giants, sponsored by Tesco. The kids all had a great time and got some signed programmes in return from the Captain for all their efforts.

Boys and Girls from Glengormley P5-7 sang and played recorders at Tesco Newtownabbey & The Abbeycentre on Wed 8th Dec 10 to both entertain Christmas shoppers and to help raise money and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support. They helped raise quite a lot of money in the short time they were there. Thanks go also to the manager of Tesco, who generously donated well-deserved refreshments for all the children after they had finished.
