Educational Residential Trip to Poland 2017
Following on from the great success of 2009, 11, 13 and 2015, another trip to the Malapolska region of southern Poland is being organised for May 2017 for the P6 and P7 pupils. The trip will include visits to the historic city of Krakow, including a tour of the Wawel (Royal Palace), the Market Square & Famous Cloth Hall and the Dominican Church of St Mary. We will also visit Oswiecim (Aushwitz) Museum & World Heritage Site, the Ancient Salt Mines of Wieliczka, and a beautiful 2.5hr raft ride along the DunajecRiver bordering Slovakia. Evenings will include Krakow’s Parc Wodny (largest indoor waterpark in Europe), outdoor sports and activities and local hospitality.
We will fly direct from Belfast to Krakow return and have a coach for transfer to our hotel and at our disposal for the duration of the trip. Accommodation will be on a full-board basis (Bed, breakfast, evening meals and packed lunches each day for our excursions.) Dependent on numbers, the cost of the trip should be approximately £400 per person including full travel insurance. This trip, as in 2015 will be open to pupils first and a parent if/as appropriate. As this trip is at the early stages of planning and costing, it is essential that we confirm numbers of those individuals interested in going. A £150 non -refundable deposit will be required to book and confirm flights at the best price. We will call upon this following this expression of interest return. The school will then run a monthly installment payment plan for parents should they wish to avail of it, beginning in the Autumn 16 term. Please complete the reply slip below if you wish yourself and/or child to be considered to go on this trip and return by Friday 30th September 2016 to allow for immediate planning and reservations.
