Welcome to this month's news.

We would like to welcome all of our new boys and girls to our playgroup.

THEME FOR THE MONTH
Our theme for November is 'ROAD SAFETY'. Our shape is a SQUARE, the colour is ORANGE and the number is 3.

RHYME FOR THE MONTH
Our rhyme for this month is 'Stop, Look and Listen'.

PRE-PRE SCHOOL CHILDREN - SETTLING IN
Please do not worry if there are a few tears at "drop off" as this is only to be expected when everything is still quite new for some of our little ones. We would like to reassure you that these tears are usually short lived. Please be assured that we will keep you informed if there are any unusual difficulties in settling-in.

COLLECTION TIME - CHILD PROTECTION
Due to new Child Protection procedures within the Primary School, parents of Playgroup children cannot access the Playgroup before the Gates are unlocked at 8.40am for (20minutes) and again to collect the children at 11.30am for (15 minutes) for the morning session. Afternoon Session gates will be unlocked at 12.30pm for (15 minutes) to enable children to be left off and also 3.15pm for (15 minutes). The gates at both ends of the school will be kept locked in between these times and parents/carers can contact the playgroup by telephone if a child needs out for any reason. Playgroup parents are asked to use the Antrim Road entrance at all times.

VISITORS
MUSIC
- On Monday 14th November we will be having another visit from a very musical lady who will bring along her guitar and props. We will I am sure have a wonderful and enjoyable time.

PARENTAL INTERVIEWS
Parental Interviews will take place between 23rd and 25th November for Morning Session children and between 30th November and 2nd December for Afternoon Session Children. Letters giving exact details have already been sent home with children and in school bags.

PANTOMIME
This year both sessions will be attending the Courtyard Theatre's pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on Wednesday 7th December at 1.00pm. All children should arrive at the Playgroup for 12.15pm and be collected at 3.30pm approximately.

STICKERS AND SYMBOLS
You will now have noticed that your child has a sticker with their name and symbol on it. These are used on coat pegs, on individual drawers in the main room, at the break table and in a small drawer for the child to use to name their drawings, paintings and junk art. The purpose of these is to develop the childrens' independence skills as they hang up their coat, label their work and bring their name to the break table during our staggered break.

OPEN NIGHT
OUR WHOLE SCHOOL AND PLAYGROUP OPEN NIGHT WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY 6TH DECEMBER FROM 7-9PM

Thankyou for taking the time to read through our November news.
